Maureen DeRyke is a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) and Provisionally Licensed Master Social Worker (PMSW) in the State of Nebraska. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of New England, with an emphasis on trauma-related studies, and her Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences/Social Work, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
Maureen believes that healing is a collaborative process built on authenticity, compassion, and the absence of judgment. She works alongside each client to clarify goals for treatment and foster meaningful, sustainable growth. Her approach centers on helping children, adolescents, adults, and families overcome challenges related to trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, and life transitions.
Maureen provides a safe, affirming, and inclusive space for all clients, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, and values the unique experiences and perspectives each person brings to therapy.
Rather than relying on a single methodology, Maureen draws from a variety of evidence-based approaches to create a treatment plan tailored to each individual. Her integrative framework includes Strengths-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She maintains a consistent focus on social justice, empowerment, and resilience, helping clients discover their strengths and develop the tools needed to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
