Stepping into therapy can feel a bit like stepping into the unknown — a mix of courage, curiosity, and hope. At Daring Minds Therapy, we honor that first step and strive to make your experience grounding and transparent, helping you feel supported and empowered from the very beginning. 

Every journey begins with connection.


Since we don’t have a front desk or receptionist, you can reach out directly to any of our therapists through the email links on our Therapist Bios page, or by calling the main number listed on our Contact page.


When you reach out, your therapist will gather a few basic details — such as your preferred contact method, insurance or self-pay information, general schedule availability, and what brings you to therapy. From there, they’ll work with you to find a time that fits and begin building a therapeutic relationship that supports your goals.


To help your first visit go smoothly, you’ll receive your Client Intake Forms in PDF format after scheduling, to ensure you receive the correct forms for your therapist and service type. Forms can be emailed directly to you, downloaded from our website, or picked up in person if you prefer paper copies.


All intake forms must be completed before your first session begins. If forms are not finished beforehand, your appointment may need to be rescheduled to ensure all required information is in place for your care and confidentiality.


If you plan to complete your forms in person, please arrive 15–20 minutes early to allow enough time to finish them before your appointment.


Please bring a photo ID and your insurance card (if using insurance) to your first session.


Individual therapy sessions typically last 45–60 minutes, depending on your needs and clinical goals. 


The first appointment — often referred to as an initial assessment or intake session — allows your therapist to gather background information, discuss your presenting concerns, and collaborate with you to identify treatment goals.


Ongoing sessions are designed to provide therapeutic intervention, emotional processing, and skill development using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and mindfulness techniques.


Session length and frequency are based on medical necessity and tailored to your individual progress and treatment plan.


At Daring Minds Therapy, healing begins with understanding — not perfection. Therapy offers a calm, nonjudgmental space to reflect, process, and grow at your own pace. Your therapist will guide you using evidence-based methods like CBT, trauma-focused interventions, mindfulness, and skill-building techniques to help you manage challenges and create meaningful change over time. n answer to this item.


 Our office is designed to create a calm, welcoming atmosphere where you can feel safe, grounded, and supported. The building and parking area are fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring comfort and ease of access for all clients. We strive to maintain a space that reflects the same care, respect, and compassion that guide our work in therapy. 


Your privacy is of utmost importance to us. All client information is kept confidential in accordance with federal and state laws. Information is only shared with your written consent, except in cases where disclosure is required by law or ethical duty. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information.


Each therapist at Daring Minds Therapy maintains their own schedule, and availability may vary. In general, most appointments are offered Monday through Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with some clinicians providing limited Friday or evening sessions.

Weekend appointments are not standard but may be considered on a case-by-case basis directly with your therapist. For the most accurate availability, please reach out or speak with your therapist directly to discuss scheduling options.
