At Daring Minds Therapy, we understand that billing and insurance can sometimes feel overwhelming. Our goal is to make the process as transparent and stress-free as possible so you can focus on your care, not the paperwork.
Every journey begins with connection. When scheduling your first appointment, please have your insurance card and information ready.
Clients are responsible for confirming whether their selected therapist is in-network with their insurance plan prior to scheduling a session.
Our billing partner, Kadra’s Billing Agency, LLC, securely manages claim submission and account coordination after services begin. While Daring Minds Therapy and Kadra’s team can provide general billing guidance, it is the client’s responsibility to verify insurance coverage, understand copays and deductibles, and confirm any pre-authorization requirements.
We recommend contacting your insurance company directly and asking:
Billing Partner Contact Information
Kadra’s Billing Agency, LLC
Website: kadrasbillingagency.com
Phone: (402) 421-1182
Fax: (402) 465-8717
Since we don’t have a front desk or receptionist, you can reach out directly to any of our therapists through the email links on our Therapist Bios page or by calling the main number listed on our Contact page.
When you reach out, your therapist will gather a few basic details — such as your preferred contact method, insurance or self-pay information, general schedule availability, and what brings you to therapy. From there, they’ll work with you to find a time that fits and begin building a therapeutic relationship that supports your goals.
Deductible: The amount you are responsible for paying each calendar year for covered services before your insurance plan begins contributing toward costs.
Co-Insurance: After your deductible has been met, this is the percentage of costs you pay for covered services. For example, if your coinsurance is 20%, you pay 20% of the approved amount and your insurance covers the remaining 80%.
Co-Payment (Copay): A fixed dollar amount (for example, $20–$40) that you pay at the time of service. Copay amounts vary depending on your plan.
Explanation of Benefits (EOB): A statement from your insurance company that explains what portion of your claim was paid, what portion remains your responsibility, and how those amounts were calculated.
All copays, deductibles, and private pay fees are due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in writing with your therapist.
Balances must be paid within 30 days. Accounts over 120 days past due may incur a $10 monthly finance charge and could be referred to collections. Returned checks are subject to applicable bank fees.
We accept cash, checks, and all major credit or debit cards. Please note that card payments may include up to a 3% processing fee to cover third-party merchant costs.
Payments can be made in the office or securely processed through our billing partner, Kadra’s Billing Agency, which manages insurance claims and account processing.
For questions about coverage or benefits, please contact your insurance company directly. For billing statements or account balances, reach out to Kadra’s Billing Agency.
If you choose not to use insurance, we offer self-pay options for all services. Each therapist sets their own private pay rates, generally ranging from $100–$250 per session, depending on the session length (45–60 minutes) and whether it is an intake or a standard therapy session.
Self-pay clients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) explaining the expected cost of services before therapy begins.
For detailed information about your rights and the No Surprises Act, please refer to the No Surprises Act & Good Faith Estimate section on this page.
Please note that self-pay payments do not apply toward your insurance deductible.
Your session time is reserved specifically for you.
A $75 no-show or late-cancellation fee will apply for any appointment canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, except where prohibited by insurance or law.
Clients covered by Nebraska Medicaid will not be charged for missed or late-canceled sessions. However, consistent attendance is an important part of therapeutic progress.
If appointments are frequently missed or canceled, your therapist may need to adjust or pause your reserved appointment time until a more regular schedule can be re-established. This ensures that all clients have fair access to available session times and supports continuity of care.
Maintaining consistent attendance helps you stay engaged in treatment and make meaningful progress toward your goals.
